I graduated from NAIT’s Certified Personal Trainer Program in April 2009 and went on to earn my Certified Personal Training certificate through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. Following NAIT, I received my Corrective Exercise Specialist certification through the National Academy of Sport Medicine.

I immediately dove into the world of one-on-one personal training & group fitness and haven’t looked back. I have supplemented my education with the completion of my Crossfit Level 1 coaching certificate. I also frequently attend numerous weekend courses and seminars on the topics of Olympic lifting, gymnastics, mobility and more.  Currently I am enrolled at MH Vicars School of Massage and will be a full RMT as of June 2017. I look forward to adding what I’ve learned as a trainer to massage and making it into a combo therapy.

I have worked with newcomers to fitness training as well as hard-core, goal-oriented fitness enthusiasts. I help supplement their training with focus on preventative injury mobility as well as balance movements for a stronger overall foundation.

From my experiences I have gained some fitness- and life-related epiphanies:
First, you get out 100% of what you put in. The work you do is directly reflected in the results you get. My philosophy is that if you show up to work out, I’m going to make sure you give it your all. Work hard now and do the things your future-self will thank you for. It’s as easy as that!
Second, there is no shortcut, no easy-out, no fad diet or diet pill that will give you the results you are looking for. Nothing works quite like good old fashioned exercise, proper rest and eating right.
Third, there is no way to get results through osmosis. You cannot get the health benefits or the body you want just by hanging out at a gym. You need to sweat, feel the burn, be uncomfortable, and maybe even question your sanity for putting yourself through this. But the magic happens when you are pushing yourself to those limits! This is where you get your results and where you become addicted to improving yourself. If you do the best that you can with what you’ve got, then you cannot lose!

My goal is to help all my clients through this process by breaking down the big tasks, making them smaller and manageable. I believe a fitness program requires both mental and physical preparedness. Mentally, we must identify causes and triggers and make game plans to work though them. Physically, we must create a program that is challenging and rewarding, setting you up for success.

It is my dream to have each client leave feeling accomplished and empowered.

It is my goal to help you be the best version of you that’s possible.

I want you to win!
