Cullin Arial - CFPT - Unconventional Fitness
In early 2009, I woke up one morning at 28 years old out of shape, overweight and my body riddled with pain. I had had enough and decided to do something about it. I hired a personal trainer and began working out at my local gym. As time went on, my weight loss stalled and I became bored and unmotivated with the typical gym routine. I knew I had to find a different way.
By a stroke of luck, I stumbled across Agatsu Kettlebell training and CrossFit. I started developing my own workouts of the day and training any body that was willing. My body began to transform, and without realizing, my journey into the world of cutting edge human movement and potential had begun.
When I travelled to Onnit Unconventional Training Academy in Austin Texas, I knew I was hooked. The functional abilities of strength, conditioning, agility, balance, power, explosiveness, flexibility and mobility using a minimal amount of equipment and time was something that fit easily into my daily life. I am proud to be the first person in Canada to receive the Onnit Unconventional Trainer certification.
It is now my passion to help others realize their own potential through functional ability and optimized performance, using effective exercises and programs that reinforce balance and progression. I believe fitness is about life longevity. Whether your goal is to dominate at a competitive sport, be ready for the trials life has in store, or simply maintain a level of sustainable injury free fitness, unconventional fitness training can adapt to help you fulfill whatever your goals are.
