Athletic Therapists

Ashley Kucher BPE, CAT(C)Ashley is an Athletic Therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. She completed her Bachelors of Physical Education from the University of Alberta in 2009 then moved onto obtaining an Advanced Certificate of Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal University. She has worked as a team therapist in men’s college hockey, the Alberta Junior Hockey League, the Canadian Junior Football League, Alberta Soccer, and travelled with both the Junior and Senior National Taekwondo teams on an international level.

Lauren Demers BPE, CAT(C)Lauren is a Certified Athletic Therapist, who completed her Bachelor of Physical Education at University of Alberta, prior to pursuing the Advance Certificate in Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal University. She is currently completing a Diploma in Acupuncture, at Grant MacEwan University. 

Shun Sakai CAT(C)Shun graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science.  Upon graduation, he successfully completed his Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB. 

Dietitians and Nutritionists 

Leah Cheung BSc, RD - Leah Allan is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Alberta. She holds Bachelor of Science degrees with Distinction in both Nutrition and Psychology from the University of Alberta.

Massage Therapists

Elissa Fulkerth RMT - Elissa is a graduate of the esteemed Massage Therapy program at Grant Macewan University and is a Registered Massage Therapist with the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA).

Roxy Campbell RMTRoxy is a Registered Massage Therapist as well as a Yoga Instructor after completing her 200hr Yoga Teachers Training in Bali. 

Sonya Palahicky RMT - Sonya is a Registered Massage Therapist who began her training in Thai Massage Therapy in Thailand. She is also trained in aromatherapy, reflexology, and herbal compress.


Chris Montgomery MScPT, BScKin, CPTChris Montgomery is a Physical Therapist who completed his Master’s in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and is a certified personal trainer with several years experience. 

Keeley Smith BScPT, Women’s Health PT, Acupuncture, Yoga Instructor Keeley is a Physical Therapist with both the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta and BC. She completed her Physiotherapy Degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2001 and moved on to completing the Certificate Program in Medical Acupuncture at the University of Alberta in 2004. She has worked as an orthopaedic Physical Therapist in private practice with sport medicine doctors, orthopaedic surgeons, and amazing physical therapy mentors both in Calgary and Edmonton. In 2009 she took her training in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Treatment.  After focusing her profession on pelvic health, she has worked as a prenatal instructor and as a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist at the Urogynecology Clinic at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and is committed to providing women the care they need.

Robyn Carignan MScPT, Bkin, CSEP-CPT - Robyn is a Physical Therapist who completed her Master’s in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. She also has a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology as has been a CSEP certified personal trainer since 2013. 

Personal Trainers and Strength Coaches

Andrew Coates PTS, P.Nutrition 1, B. Comm - Since the fall of 2009 Andrew have worked as a personal trainer, accumulating over 10,000 client sessions and spend downtime relentlessly pursuing continued education in exercise physiology, nutrition, the psychology of human behavior and habits, and anything else he feel furthers the experience and results of his clients. 

Ashley Valliere CSEP-CPT, NASM-CES, CF LV1 - Ashley is a personal and group fitness trainer.  A graduate from the Certified Personal Trainer Program at NAIT, Ashley went on to become certified as a Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and as a Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sport Medicine. 

Bruce Shaw PTS - Bruce is a personal trainer who began his journey in the fitness world with playing over 15 years of competitive soccer. His drive of soccer pushed him to Powerlifting to improve his skills on the pitch.

Carla Ramsay PICP 2, PN 1, SFG 1 - Over the past 3 years, the BarBelles have aided over 75 athletes achieve their goals of stepping on stage or on the platform at local, National and International levels.

Carrie Habinski NAIT-PFT, CSEP-CPT - Carrie is a personal trainer with a Bachelor of Arts with an Applied Psychology major, as well as, graduating from the NAIT's Certified Personal Trainer Program earning my Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology certification. She have actively been in the personal training industry for over six years.

Dylan Stanley PTS - Dylan is a personal trainer and a hockey specific strength coach at Evolve. Dylan has played high level hockey with the University of Alberta Golden Bears program that won him two National Championships in just 3 seasons; while winning league all-star awards in all 3 seasons as well as played professionally in the United States, Germany, Italy and now presently in Austria.

Jeremy Bell BPE, CPT- Jeremy is a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Personal Trainer. Strength and conditioning is his undeniable passion and a field he am vigorously immersed in. Jeremy believes his job as trainer and strength coach is to help create holistically sound athletes and clients through a balanced and detailed approach which touches on all aspects of health, wellness and performance.

Kevin Zimmerman BPE, NCCP II (Olympic Weightlifting) - Kevin Zimmmerman is the head coach of the Olympic Power and Fitness Weightlifting Club at Evolve. His involvement in the sport began in 1972 and has since coached countless national athletes and champions and officiated many provincial and national competitions. 

Leah Bartlett NSCA-CPT - Leah is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. 

Nikki McLeod CSEP-CPT - Nikki is a graduate of the NAIT PFT program, a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and has competed in bodybuilding competitions with the INBF.  

Scott Dickson CSEP-CPT, NASM-CES - Scott is a personal trainer through the NAIT Personal Fitness Training program, and also holds certifications through CSEP-CPT and NASM-CES as a certified exercise specialist.  

Shane Martin Shane is a Powerlifiting coach who is also a multi-time national champion powerlifter and record holder. He specializes in Powerlifting technique, programming, coaching, and judging. 

Shayna Law ACE-CPTShayna is a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise. Her passion for fitness grew through playing 13+ years of softball with the St. Albert Angels. She now focuses her efforts training the general population to achieve their goals and aspirations through fitness. 

Spencer Sharpe BKin, CSEP-CPTSpencer is a personal trainer through the University of Alberta Kinesiology  Bachelors Degree. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. 

Steffan Shelemey CSEP-CPT, CES-NASM - Steffan is a personal fitness trainer. In 2011, he earned his Personal Training diploma through NAIT and became certified through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. His education also certified him as a Corrective Exercise Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Sport Psychologists

Marek Komar MSc - Marek is a Sport and Performance Psychology Consultant based out of Pivotal Physiotherapy who completed a double Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Lund University in Sweden. Marek also holds a Bachelor of Physical Education, specializing in Sports Performance from the University of Alberta, and is a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA).
