Strength and conditioning is my undeniable passion and a field I am vigorously immersed in. I believe my job as trainer and strength coach is to help create holistically sound athletes and clients through a balanced and detailed approach which touches on all aspects of health, wellness and performance. I pride myself on being a very detailed oriented coach and trainer, I feel this stems from my time spent as a competitive athlete playing numerous sports growing up such as hockey, football, baseball, basketball, snowboarding, skateboarding. Playing these sports taught me the importance of preparation for success and this is something at Prime Performance that is heavily engrained in what we do. My athletic background is predominately football, I played for 15 years all the way up from pee wee to university with the University of Alberta Golden Bears. I owe almost everything in terms of my approach towards my career to the game of football and the coaches and mentors I had along my journey. Things such as attention to detail when designing programs, to my ability to interact with my clients and their various personality types is owed to the game and this is something I am very grateful for. 

 

At Prime Performance the emphasis is always on the individual and the individual’s unique needs and circumstances. Accommodation of each client’s situation is something that is of the utmost importance to me as a trainer and coach, at no point will things such as financial situation, time, physical limitations be a factor in whether myself and a client have a chance to work together, I am a firm believer in the saying “If there is will, there is a way”, at Prime we make it happen no matter what!

My philosophy as a coach is deeply rooted in covering all aspects of development no matter the goal of the client in order to ensure no stone has been left unturned in the process of goal attainment. As a Prime Performance client or athlete you will be introduced to this model of development immediately and learn the importance of preparation and maintenance of the bodies’ soft tissues and joints as well as sound exercise fundamentals and techniques. Application of the most relevant and current strength and conditioning methodologies is as the forefront of every program designed and every client worked with at Prime Performance. I have been very fortunate through my developmental path to have been able to access and learn from some of the true leaders in the field of strength and conditioning and personal training, at Prime Performance you can expect nothing but the best. As stated above I love what I do, and my drive to continually peruse further education to give my clients and athletes their best possible chance at success in the most efficient way possible is something that drives me. Corrective exercise will be built in to all programs to ensure we are improving movement deficiencies to allow ourselves to perform optimally. The practices of physical therapy and strength training are two modalities that walk hand in hand at Prime Performance and each client can expect to walk away looking better, moving better and feeling better in the process!
