Kelsey Rigler BKin, CSCS

I’m a graduate from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of athletes over the past 3 years. These athletes have ranged from youth in a community club level to university/collegiate level and professional level in multiple sports. I have experience with the design and delivery of programs to athletes and have experience with the required testing and monitoring of their programs.

I am extremely passionate about my profession and throughout the years I have been fortunate to work with a variety of sport science and sport medical practitioners in this field. I have a background in working with many team sport athletes as well as working with individual sport athletes in multiple sports including both powerlifting and body building; of which I have competed in both.

Strength is an essential component of all human performance. Its development is something that should never be neglected. As a coach I strive to not only highlight and develop an individual’s strengths but to also find their weaknesses and build on them. This is accomplished by using the most applicable research based methods to fit their goals. My goal is to provide individuals of all ages and stages of development with an environment in which they can come in and learn and refine their skills and lifting technique. This will ultimately lead to them improving their performance in all aspects of life. I believe that we all acquire certain skills and develop them at varying different rates. The skills that are acquired in the gym are much like sport in the sense that they act as a vehicle for personal development.
The pursuit of both athletic and individual greatness has always been something that has fueled my passion. My passion derives from seeing positive change in people, whether they just set a new lifting record in the gym or did something that they never thought imaginable.
